The Law College Dehradun, Faculty of Uttaranchal University – 2nd National Moot Court Competition on Constitutional Law was organized by the Moot Court Society of the college which grandly held at Dehradun from 6th to 8th October 2017.
The competition witnessed participation of 82 teams from around the country out of which the top 32 teams were selected through a memorial elimination round.
University Institute Of Legal Studies – Punjab University, National Law University Jodhpur, Geeta Institute of Law Panipat, Hidayatullah National Law University Raipur, Chanakya National Law University Patna, Faculty of Law, Aligarh Muslim University, National Institute of Advanced Legal Studies Kochi, Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law Punjab were the teams that qualified the preliminary oral rounds and advanced to the quarter-finals.
University Institute Of Legal Studies- Punjab University, National Law University Jodhpur, Hidayatullah National Law University Raipur, and Chanakya National Law University Patna qualified for the semi-final rounds.
The final round of the competition was argued before a Constitutional Bench comprising Hon’ble Mr. Justice Rajiv Sharma (Judge, High Court of Uttrakhand at Nainital); Hon’ble Mr. Justice B.S. Verma, (Former Judge, High Court of Uttrakhand at Nainital); Mr. S.N Babulkar, (Advocate General, State of Uttrakhand); Mr.Vijay Bhatt, (Sr. Advocate, Managing Trustee, Bar Council of India) and; Prof. (Dr.) Rajesh Bahuguna, (Principal and Dean, Law College Dehradun).

RUNNER-UP: Chanakya National Law University, Patna team comprising Swarnlata Pandey, Prashasti Priya, Amar Kumar Roy
BEST SPEAKER- MALE / FEMALE: Shivdev Sharma, University Institute of Legal Studies, Punjab University and Varshini Sunder, Hidayatullah National Law Univerity, Raipur
BEST RESEARCHER: Amar Kumar Roy, Chanakya National Law University, Patna
