Modern college of Law is organizing its First National Law Quiz (Written) based on MCQ “Pragyaan: The Law Quiz” on Women Law.
The theme of the quiz is “Empowering Women, Inspiring Change”.
Date of the Competition
We are pleased to present to you the First National Quiz Competition (Written) “Pragyaan :The Law Quiz” on Women Law being organized at Modern College of Law, Mohan Nagar Ghaziabad, on the 18th November, 2017. This used to be an event exclusively for inter departmental candidates, but this time we are extending to law colleges spread across India, to make them further and prosper the women empowerment spirit of the revered document, and also, to keep them abreast of the profound challenges and events occurring in the country. The purpose of organizing this Quiz competition (Written) based on MCQ which is a major event in our college’s calendar is to celebrate the spirit of women empowerment and to instil future generation advocates with the sense of pride and respect for the Women & Nation

Any Under-Graduate Law student (3 years LL.B., 5 years LL.B.) from any recognised University/ Institute shall be eligible to participate.
There is no limit of minimum or maximum number of Participation.
The competition shall be conducted in both English & Hindi medium.
Each participant must register with the Organizing committee of National Quiz Competition (Written) based on MCQ, by sending the duly attested registration form along with the Demand Draft of Rs. 200/- in favour of Modern College of Law Payable at Ghaziabad.
In case there is more than one participation concerned College / University can send a single demand draft of all the participants but there registration form should be separately filled.
Guidelines for the Quiz Competition
The National Quiz Competition (Written) based on MCQ shall have 100 questions (Duration 2 hours), out of which 25% will be concerned with General Affairs regarding Women Law, 25% will be concerned with Current Affairs regarding Women Law and remaining 50% will be concerned with Legislative Acts regarding Women Law.

Hard Copies of the registration form along with the Demand Draft to reach the organizers via post (Principal, Modern College of Law, Ghaziabad): November 10, 2017
Date of Competition: November 18, 2017
The students may be tested in respect of provisions of the Constitution and laws relating to women’s rights and empowerment. The competition may, include topics relating to the following laws:
Constitution of India mainly, the Preamble, Fundamental Rights, Directive Principles of State Policy, Fundamental Duties, including Article 33 and Article 226 thereof.
National Commission for Women Act, 1990 (20 of 1990)
Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961
Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005
The Sexual Harassment of Women at Work place (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal Act) Act, 2013
The Criminal Law Amendment Act, 2013
The Maternity Benefit Act, 1961
The Medical Termination of Pregnancy Act, 1971 (34 of 1971)
The Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, 1956
The Pre-Conception and Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques (Prohibition of Sex Selection) Act, 1994
The Minimum Wages Act, 1948
SC and the ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Amendment Act, 2015
The Scheduled Tribes and other traditional forest devellens (Recognition of Forest Rights) Act, 2008
